Black and White Stripes

By Lauren

Occasionally I love to match my outfit from head to toe. Of course many times this is completely hideous, but sometimes it just works...like here!  When I added these black and white Rag&Bone jeans to my wardrobe I instantly wanted to wear them with this black and white striped top. I've worn this outfit before, but I finally had a second to photograph is for you all this past weekend in the Hamptons before a super low-key dinner with my husband.

Shirt: BCBG; Jeans: Rag&Bone

Do you have any matchy matchy outfit that just work so well it makes you re-think the "rules"?

Asia Trip Tracking

By Julie

Ni hao, friends! I've just arrived in Osaka, Japan after a week in Seoul and spending the weekend in Hong Kong and Macau working and visiting with friends. It's been an extremely busy (exhausting!) trip to say the least, but we've definitely made some time to take in the sights, try local cuisine and have some fun. Here are a few snapshots from my travels.

My go-to travel gear

Apparently campagne is appropriate at any hour in business class :)

Korean BBQ

A typical store front in Seoul

Pick-your-poison sake cups
A warm welcome at my 'home' in HK
My favorite soup dumplings from Din Tai Fung in HK

One of the most beautiful city skylines- Hong Kong at sunset
Last night's meal- yes, the sushi is that much better in Japan!
Besides work, my trip can pretty much be considered an Asia food crawl. Next stop, Tokyo!

Memorial Day Stripes

By Lauren

I found this striped dress at TopShop in March and have been waiting to wear it ever since. A Memorial Day weekend BBQ in the Hamptons seemed like the most appropriate of occasions.

Shoes: Cynthia Vincent, Dress; TopShop; Vest: Lush; Belt: Hermes

Paired with my 5 year old Cynthia Vincent wedges I was comfortable and cool all day long. What's your go-to summer outfit that is just so easy to throw on you want to wear everyday?

Currently Craving

By Lauren

There might be a weekend purchase in my near future, because I am in love with this simple yet chic mini from Elizabeth and James. Personally, I think I will be buying the ecru color and plan to pair it with a big chunky necklace. Stay tuned...

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, let's hope the sun come out!

Fashion Icon

By Lauren

Everyday when I am faced with the task of putting together an outfit for work, I think to myself "what would Emanuelle Alt wear?" The editor of Vogue Paris has a laid-back style and an effortless way of putting herself together that is simply perfection. I wish an over sized button down could look this good on me!

Who is your style icon?

The Webster

By Lauren

Last December I wandered into what looked like just a regular art deco building in the Miami, South Beach area. But the facade was deceiving...inside was a literal mecca for fashionistas everywhere! The Webster is beautiful designer clothing store that carries the best of the best from Stella, to Givenchy and all the rockstars in between.

The owner, Laure Heriard Dubreuil, is just as awesome as the labels she carries. After a career in fashion, she decided to open her own store and just a few short years later her name is popping up everywhere I look. First it was her fabulous wardrobe depicted on Refinery 29 and now its her enviable apartment on The Lifestyle Mirror.

Take a look at both stories and tell me which one you want more, her closet or her home, or both!

Road Trip

By Lauren

This past weekend, my husband and I made the 5 hour drive to Washington DC from New York to attend my little brother's college graduation! As proud and excited as I was for my brother, it's hard to sit in the car for that long and be comfortable in anything but sweat pants.

But this is B&B so obv I didn't wear sweatpants! I wore my new favorite Isabel Marant sneakers with a comfy pair of jeans.  And thank goodness I did because our 5 hour drive turned into 7 hours and we had to go right to drinks with the fam!

Sneakers: Isabel Marant; Bag: YSL; Jeans: Current Elliot; Shirt: J.Crew; Vest: Urban Outfitters; Bracelet: Michael Kors; Necklace: Gumuchian; Sunglasses: Michael Kors

Thanks to my mom for helping me blog from DC and taking these pictures!

What do you wear for road trips?

Memorial Day Musts

By Julie

Just because I'll be in Hong Kong for America's official mark of summer, doesn't mean I can't celebrate the start of my favorite season and dream of my holiday weekend garb, right? I've put together my weekend essentials for everything from a day at the beach to a backyard barbecue.

How are you going to be celebrating the start of summer?
Have a mojito for me!

Espanola Way

By Julie

This past weekend I was in South Beach to celebrate my little cousin's graduation from the University of Miami. It was an action-packed couple of days catching up with family, soaking up the sun and checking out all the Miami hotspots that by our last night we were ready for a low-key evening of frothy margaritas and Mexican food-- two of my absolute favs! We headed to South Beach's adorable Espanola Way for a taste of the city's culture and quesadillas.

Dress: c/o Lilly Pulitzer, Shoes: c/o Nine West, Bag: Vintage (raided from my Mom's closet),
Bracelet: BaubleBar X DKNY, Nails: Essie Ole Caliente

I can hardly believe it, but starting tomorrow I'll be travelling for work for the next two weeks in Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. Of course we'll be super busy, but I am beyond excited as Japan has always been on the top of my list. Have you guys been to any of these cities? Any suggestions??

I'll be sure to post a few times while I'm away, but be sure to follow along on Instagram, too.

Wheels up!

Wedding {Thursday} at Ashley Nicole Catherine

By Julie & Lauren

If you followed along for our Wedding Wednesday series or any of our boards us on Pinterest, you know we're pretty wedding obsessed here at B&B (who isn't?) so it's no surprise we jumped on the chance to guest post for Ashley of Ashley Nicole Catherine while she's away getting hitched!! In honor of her big day, we've decided to share some of our favorite wedding hairstyles for the big walk down the aisle.

Here's a sneak peek, but you'll have to head over to her blog to check out the rest...

We're loving a flirty side pony for a spring wedding, but we can't wait to see what Ashley will choose for herself! It's sure to be gorgeous.

Sunday Brunch

By Lauren

I know I wore this denim shirt in my lady bug post yesterday, but this is the real world and sometimes we have to recycle clothing! There isn't a skirt I can't tuck this button down into, so if it's not broken why bother fixing it. A denim shirt just works with summer skirts.

Denim Shirt: J.Crew; Skirt: Zara; Shoes: J.Crew; Sunglasses: Michael Kors; Bracelet: Michael Kors

I wore this to Mother's Day brunch this past weekend because I was dying to wear some of my new Zara purchases. What did you wear for Mother's Day?

Lady Bugs

By Lauren

Weekend wear gets more fun to play with as the months start to get warmer and what is more playful than the pink lady bugs on this Lilly Pulitzer skirt?! I fell in love as soon as I saw it and once I paired it with some bright lips and a neon clutch all in the same color I felt that Spring had finally sprung!

Shoes: H&M; Skirt: Lilly Pulitzer; Denim Shirt: J.Crew; Clutch: Michael Kors; Lipstick: CoverGirl

Just a weekend walk with my little pooch, Monster. Sometimes it's nice to put together a cute outfit just for the hell of it, even if you're just going for a stroll with the dog!

Not-So Mellow Yellow

By Julie

Blazer: Zara, Tank: Splendid, Jeans: Current Elliot, Shoes: Manolo Blahnik, Bag: Phlox

I have to admit, I'm usually not a blazer girl. I have a weird complex about them and feel like they're always unflattering on me and just a bit too bulky. Fortunately, all that has started to change now that I found this cropped one with zipper details and shoulder pads. I think the bright color and asymmetrical cut somehow tricks me into thinking it's not an actual blazer. Hey, it's a step in the right direction, right?

Do you have any similar 'wardrobe woes'? Come on, I can't be the only crazy one...

Orange You Glad ...

By Lauren

A new season means time to add some new pieces to my wardrobe. This Michael by Michael Kors dress was an instant purchase because it's so easy to wear with the loose fit and the fact that it isn't so crazy short like many dresses I find.

Dress: Michael by Michael Kors; Bag: YSL; Shoes: Christian Louboutin
